An educator needs to show no bias toward either gender. Student Diversity – that the needs and interests of students will vary, and that schools and teachers will plan from the curriculum in ways that respond to those needs and interests (ACARA, 2012).
Critical analysis of texts and stories to open discussion Year 3 English – ACELT1596 – Draw connections between personal experiences and the worlds of texts, and share responses with others.

Elaboration – Exploring texts that highlight issues and problems in making moral decisions and discussing these with others (ACARA, 2015).

Challenge gender bias in the curriculum content Personal and Social Capability – Personal and social capability encompasses students’ personal/emotional and social/relational dispositions, intelligences, sensibilities and learning. It develops effective life skills for students, including understanding and handling themselves, their relationships, learning and work (ACARA, 2015).

The personal and social capability content of the Australian Curriculum could certainly be extended to include an element regarding a students need to understand and accept diversity in the current Australian culture.
